How to Grant Specific Permissions to the Account Manager?

On the User Management page, you can create and edit accounts for managers that work with your Affise Admin panel. Moreover, you can also grant access to your managers only to a specific type of data or prohibit to view some particular sections.

New Account Manager

New Account manager by default has “Deny access” to Advertisers editing - means that Account manager has no access to view and edit Advertisers in Advertisers section, but has access to view and edit his/her assigned Advertiser and his/her Offers, and has access to all sections: Dashboard, Statistics, Offers, Smartlinks, Advertisers, Tickets, Billing, News, Export except Affiliate section:

import.pngIf you want your new Account Manager has access only to some sections (ex. Dashboard, Advertisers, Tickets, Billing, News) you need to select particular sections in 'User edit page' - > 'Sections' Tab:

You can also adapt the user permissions for yourself. Let's look at a few cases on how to create new Account managers with different permissions and accesses. 

Users and Offers Permissions

Use Case #1

In case you want your new Account manager has access to all sections and has 'Write' permissions to Advertisers editing - means that Account manager may view and edit all Advertisers in Advertisers section and all Offers in Offers section, you need to change all default settings in the following way:

After login, a new Account manager will be able to see all sections except Affiliates section and will be able to look over all Advertisers in Advertisers section (with/without managers, his/her Advertisers and others) and Offers in Offers section, and will be able to sing in every Advertiser, look over statistics and edit all Advertisers:

Use Case #2

In case you want your new Account manager has:

  • access to all sections except Affiliates management section
  • possibility to edit one particular Advertiser and his/her Advertisers (Advertisers that assigned to this Account manager) and these Advertisers Offers
  • possibility to view all Advertisers and Advertisers of other managers and Offers
  • deny access to one particular Advertiser means that Account manager will have no access to view or edit this particular Advertiser and his/her Offers

According to such conditions, the settings of the new Account manager will be the following:

According to such settings new Account manager will have: 

  • 'Read' access to all Advertisers and Advertisers of other managers - means the possibility only view all Advertisers and Advertisers of other managers these Advertisers Offers but new Account manager may edit his/her assigned Advertiser and his/her Offers
  • 'Write' list gives the possibility to edit particular Advertiser and his/her Offers
  • 'Deny' list excludes the possibility to view and edit particular Advertiser and his/her Offers

Use Case #3

In case you want your new Account manager has:

  • access to all sections except Affiliate section
  • deny access to Advertisers editing - means that Account manager will have no access to view and edit all Advertisers in the Advertisers section and Offers but will have the possibility to edit his/her assigned Advertiser and his/her Offers
  • possibility to edit one particular Advertiser and his/her Offers
  • possibility to view one particular Advertiser and his/her Offers

According to such conditions, the settings of the new Account manager will be the following:

According to such settings new Account manager will have: 

  • 'Deny' access to all Advertisers - means that Account manager will have no access to view and edit all Advertisers in Advertisers section and Offers but will have the possibility to edit his/her assigned Advertisers and his/her Offers
  • 'Read' list gives the possibility to view particular Advertiser and his/her Offers
  • 'Write' list gives the possibility to edit particular Advertiser and his/her Offers

Statistics Permissions

All account managers statistics

Use Case #1

If you want your new Account manager has 'Deny' access to All account managers statistics
but has 'Read' access to his/her Statistics and assigned Advertisers, you need to save all default settings provided by the Affise system. Go to 'User edit' page - > 'Permissions' - > 'Statistics' - > 'All account managers statistics':

After login, a new Account manager will be able only to see his/her Statistics in Statistics section and assigned Affiliates.

import.png If you want your new Account Manager to view not only his/her Statistics and assigned Advertisers but also other Account managers and Advertisers, you can use the 'Read' list

Use Case #2

In case you want your new Account manager has 'Read' access to All account managers statistics  - means the possibility view Statistics in Statistics section for all Advertisers, but has no access to a particular Account manager(-s) and Advertisers Statistics, you need to set 'Read' access to All account managers statistics with the 'Deny' list:

After login, a new Account manager will be able to see all Statistics in Statistics section, but will not be able to see particular Account manager(-s) and Advertisers from the 'Deny' list.

All affiliate managers statistics

Use Case #1

In case you want your new Account manager has 'Read' access to All affiliate managers statistics
 - means the possibility view Statistics in Statistics section for all Affiliates, but has no access to particular Affiliate manager(-s) and Affiliates Statistics, you need to set 'Read' access to All affiliate managers statistics with the 'Deny' list:

After login, a new Account manager will be able to see Affiliates Statistics in the Statistics section except for Affiliate manager and his/her Affiliates from the 'Deny' list.

Use Case #2

In case you want your new Account manager has 'Deny' access to All affiliate managers statisticsbut has 'Read' access to particular Affiliate manager(-s) and Affiliates Statistics, you need to set 'Deny' access to All affiliate managers statistics with the 'Read' list:

After login, a new Account manager will be able only to see Affiliate manager(-s) and his/her Affiliates Statistics from the 'Read' list, but will not be able to see all affiliates Statistics. 

Advertisers stats

Use case #1

'Advertisers stats' permission regulates the visibility of 'Advertisers' statistic slice. In case you want your new Account manager has access to Advertisers statistic slice, you need to save all default settings provided by the Affise system. Go to 'User edit' page - > 'Permissions' - > 'Statistics' - > 'Advertisers stats':

After login, a new Account manager will not be able to see Advertisers statistic slice:

Use case #2

In case you want your new Account manager has no access to Advertisers statistic slice, you need to set 'Deny' access to Advertisers stats

Affiliates stats 

Use case #1

'Affiliates stats' permission regulates the visibility of 'Affiliates' statistic slice. In case you want your new Account manager has no access to Affiliates statistic slice, you need to save all default settings provided by the Affise system. Go to 'User edit' page - > 'Permissions' - > 'Statistics' - > 'Affiliates stats':

Use case #1

In case you want your new Account manager has no access to Account manager statistic slice, you need to save all default settings provided by the Affise system. Go to 'User edit' page - > 'Permissions' - > 'Statistics' - > 'Account manager stats':

Affiliate manager stats

Use case #1

Affiliate manager stats permission regulates the visibility of 'Affiliates managers' statistic slice. In case you want your new Account manager has no access to Affiliates managers statistic slice, you need to save all default settings provided by the Affise system. Go to 'User edit' page - > 'Permissions' - > 'Statistics' - > 'Affiliate manager stats':

Use case #2

Settings permissions 

Account manager by default has "Deny" access to Settings section permissions - means that Account manager does not have access to ‘Settings’ section:

In case you want your Account manager has “Write access” to Settings section permissions - means that Account manager has access to ‘Settings’ section and can perform necessary actions within this section, you need to set next settings in 'User edit page' - > ‘Permissions’ - > ‘General’ - > ‘Settings’:

Marketplace permissions

Use Case #1

Account manager by default has "Deny" access to Marketplace section permissions - means that Account manager has access to ‘Marketplace’ section, but cannot perform any actions in this section, only browse the list of plugins, you need to set next settings in 'User edit page' - > ‘Permissions’ - > ‘General’ - > ‘Marketplace’

Use Case #2

In case you want your Account manager has “Write access” to Marketplace section permissions - means that Account manager has access to ‘Marketplace’ section and can perform necessary actions within this section, you need to set next settings in 'User edit page' - > ‘Permissions’ - > ‘General’ - > ‘Marketplace’:

Use Case #3

In case you want your Account manager has "Read" access to Marketplace section permissions - means that Account manager has access to ‘Marketplace’ section, but cannot perform any actions in this section, only browse the list of plugins and each plugin separately, you need to set next settings in 'User edit page' - > ‘Permissions’ - > ‘General’ - > ‘Marketplace’
