How to deal with Afprice value in Statistics?

What is Afprice?

Afprice is a sum of money you get via &sum= parameter from the Advertiser in a postback link. Technically Afprice is a dynamic sum of money paid for conversion by an Advertiser, used when the Revshare model of payment is performed. 

The coherence of Afprice and Offer settings

Afprice sum of money is used only when you apply the revshare (percent) type of payment. Here we have a detailed guide on how to set up such a type of payment.  

RevShare type of payment can be easily set up in the offer's settings: Offers->Edit offer-> Payouts Tab:

1) Set 'Total' and 'Payouts' fields where:

Total - a percent paid by Advertiser to Affise client for one conversion. As a rule,  it should be set as 100 (meaning 100 % of the sum sent by the Advertiser)

Payouts - a percent paid by Affise client to Affiliate for one conversion

2) Set 'Percent' type of payment:

The coherence of Afprice and Statistics

As Afprice is passed to you by the Advertiser via &sum= parameter in the postback link, this value could be observed in two places in Statistics:

  1. Server postback slice: go to Statistics -> Server postbacks -> Postback parameters column. Click on the data in this column, and you will see all the data that was sent to you by the AdvertiserAnnotation_on_2020-05-15_at_15-52-19.png
  2. Conversions slice: go to Statistics -> Conversion sliceScreen_Shot_at_May_15th_2020_-_3.56.54_pm_1.png

If you don’t see this column, click here: unnamed.pngand select the needed column.

If you don’t see ‘&sum=’ in the Server postback slice, it means the Advertiser did not send you this value.

If you see ‘0’ in Conversion slice, it might mean two things:

  • the Advertiser did not send you the &sum= parameter at all (check the Server postbacks slice of Stats)
  • the Advertiser sent you ‘0’ in the &sum= parameter. 

import.pngIf you see '0' in Payouts/Revenue columns despite you've set up percent in the Offer, check whether the Advertiser passed &sum= parameter. If no - the system will ingore numbers setup in the offer.

The value the Advertiser passed in the &sum= parameter is visible in the Conversions slice when a conversion has any status of the existent ones: 

  • Approved
  • Pending
  • Declined (by any reason)
  • Not found
  • Hold

Just a simple example to illustrate the scheme:

  1. You set up such settings in the offer:Markup 2020-06-01 at 16.46.38.png
  2. The Advertiser sent you 150 in the &sum= parameter
  3. You got such a Statistics:Annotation_on_2020-05-15_at_16-57-43.png

As 45 is 30% of 150 and 105 is 70% of 150. 

Usually Afprice ≠ Revenue. The only case when it is possible - when you've set up 100% in 'Total' field in the Offer.

import.pngIf the Fixed type of payment is set up, the system will ignore the sum of money in the Afprice column. 

import.pngThere is an opportunity to edit a conversion, including values in the Payouts and Revenue column; however, the value in the Afiprice column will stay the same.

How to send Afprice value to the Affiliate?

Here we have a full list of macros available for the Affiliate’s postback. There is no special macro for Afprice value, but you always can use the following scheme:

  1. To receive Afprice in one of &custom_field= parameters in addition to the &sum= parameter
  2. To send this value in the same {custom_field} macro to the Affiliate via a postback.

Mind that the macro {sum} for Affiliate’s postback will pass the sum of money you see in the Payouts column.

The affiliate does not see the Afprice sum in his Affiliate panel in Statistics by default. But you can allow it: go to Settings -> Affiliate Dashboard Design -> General. Click on ‘Show Afpriceflag:
