CPAPI Troubleshooting

Did you face any unexpected behavior? Are some questions still left after getting familiar with our guides on CPAPI? Check this article, and you may find answers to your doubts!

1) The Advertiser approved new offers for me, but I don’t see them in Affise.

    • Сheck the time when the Advertiser did that. CPAPI needs up to 3 hours to bring new offers to Affise. The more offers are, the longer the process will be.
    • Check one of the offers in the Demand offer section. 
      • If it is not imported from the feed, it means CPAPI has not got the offer in the Advertiser feed for the last 2 hours.
      • If it is highlighted red and has a red cross, it means it is invalid. Click on the offer and check the reason of its invalidity. Check our guide on Demand Offers Section to get more information about reasons for invalidity.
    • Check if this offer belongs to some Campaign. If not - add it to the active Campaign. See our guide on Campaign settings.

If you checked everything listed above and did not find any visible reason - contact Affise Support Team via support@affise.com

2) The Advertiser changed something in the offer, but I don’t see these changes in Affise.

    • Check the time when the Advertiser did that. CPAPI needs up to 1,5 hours to bring changes to already pulled offers in Affise. 
    • Check one of the offers in the Demand offer section.
      • If it is not imported from the feed, it means CPAPI has not got the offer in the Advertiser feed for the last 2 hours.
      • If it is highlighted red and has a red cross, it means it is invalid. Click on the offer and check the reason of its invalidity. Check our guide on Demand Offers Section to get more information about reasons for invalidity.
    • Check the status of the relevant Campaign. Make sure it is active.
    • Check settings in Default values in the relevant Campaign. Make sure the fields changed by the Advertiser have ‘According to the source’ position.
    • Check Sync rules you have in the relevant Campaign. Make sure you have the needed Sync rule as Always. Don’t forget to see our guide on Sync Rules Working: you may find some interesting information you had never know before.
    • Check whether the offer was deleted/disabled manually or via API in Affise. If yes - it will never participate in the sync process. If you want to continue working with this offer - create a new Campaign for it.

3) I can’t choose the Advertiser in the Campaign.

Make sure all fields in the Tracking systems section are filled in with correct data. Check our guide on it.

4) I can't choose the Smartlink Category in the Campaign.

Make sure all fields in the Tracking systems section are filled in with correct data - check our guide on it. Also, make sure you have Smartlinks existent in Affise.

5) I see duplicated offers in Affise.

Make sure the offer is pulled to Affise in terms of one Campaigns only. You can check it by getting to the Offer view page in CPAPI. Also, make sure you chose only one way of offer selection in the Campaign: either Offers section or Sources section.
